We all took part in a ceremony around
the symbolic fire before the photo shoot. We prayed for world peace and
that the creation of this photo would have a positive impact on the
peoples of the world to set down their swords of war and hatred. It was
definitely a spiritual experience for us all. The night was still and
warm, and the
moon was almost full, shinning down on us through the redwood trees. A
night to remember and a photo to remember, as well.
The circle represents the cycle of life, according to the Cherokee
teachings. Mother Earth moves in cycles in its "Circle of Life". Being
in harmony means being in step with the sacred rhythms. By contrast,
being in disharmony means being out of step with these universal cycles,
losing sight of our place in the Greater Circle.
